My take

I had just read the book (check out the review from raeding history). I felt like the book shows a beautiful and tragic cycle of violence and misunderstanding and mistrust. Most adaptations (at least by reputation) take away the cycle and just blame it all on the monster. This adaptation isn't that much better because it makes the same mistake just in the other direction - it's all the fault of Frankenstein. I wanted to love this but it just messed up on that so bad. Good acting though.
