My take

A perfect movie. Holds up phenomenally. The jokes land the kids are hilarious. The jokes are just the right amount of inappropriate, just like the Mom tells Smalls at the beginning to go get in some trouble, that she gives him permission. That's how this movie feels. When I write my book about the reincarnation and kids at school in NYC, this is now a movie I'll come back to about how to nail middle-school aged kids. Harvey at the end said, "My two favorite movies of all time are Mario Galaxity (how he pronounces it haha) and El Bambino (the sandlot)".
