Mike Birbiglia’s The New One

My take

Perfect timing. Alejandra again surprised me for my birthday with this. We had seen his other movie, the one that Ira Glass did a live Q&A aftewards for. And this one was about him and his wife's decision to have a baby and then the first little bit of her life. It was a touching story, told with absolute hilarity. And the line "she doesn't like it when we talk" is something Alejandra and I to this day, 7 years later still say to each other when we're trying to have a conversation and the kids just won't stop interrupting. It's beautiful!
