My take
My favorite musical of all time. I know that's weird to say. And I know it's quirky and not for everyone. I also don't know exactly why this musical hit me so hard. But I thought it was just the best music (I had loved Sara Bareilles for a long time so I guess that part shouldn't be a surprise). And I went in completely blind and I just fell in love with the story. Then at the end, a very embarrassing moment I will never live down, I was quietly crying as she decided what to do and then when the owner gave her the restaurant I literally gasped/hiccupped/cried out with a noise that made everyone around turn to me, like what's with this guy (I was also the only guy as far as the eye could see). It's weird to say, but it's one of the most moving moments by media I've ever experienced in my life. So I don't know if I'll ever have a better experience than I did watching this.
