My take

The phenomenon! The demand for this musical was absolutely through the roof. I was delighted to be able to snag tickets in one of the first touring groups with Alejandra. I had picked up the book the year before at the Barnes and Nobles around the corner from my home there in gold coast and really loved it. The play did not disappoint. And on my birthday no less! The play that kicked off a pattern that continues to this day of going to a musical or play most years on my birthday.
