Barcelona (Barza) v Athletic Club Bilbao

My take

I literally only have two regrets in life: (a) not seeing Celine Dion live in Las Vegas even though we lived less than 2 hours away and I love Celine Dion so much and her cd was my first ever purchase, (b) not doing a study abroad. Having finished college without that experience, and having some plane ticket money from a failed relationship, I decided to go spend a week with some high school friends of my dad's - Fernando and Javier, two brothers who had come one year after the other and lived at my Dad's house when he was in high school. It was an absolutely phenomenal trip all around. And one highlight at the end was Fernando taking me to the soccer match in one of the most storied and massive stadiums in the world. I got to see both Messi and Neymar score goals. However, I also ate a jamon that gave me food poisoning that almost killed me. Up to that point in my life this was the sickest I'd ever been. I was up all night in the bathroom as the jamon destroyed me upright and down. I almost literally had to crawl out of the hotel that morning to find a pharmacy that was open and barely had the strength to make it to the airport and onto the plane. But now more than ten years removed, I can laugh and it makes the experience of seeing Barza all the more fun.
