If Angels and Demons felt contemporary in every way except the fact that post Covid and Trump 2.0, science isn't treated with quite the respect it did before. Davinci code is the most famous for a reason, it holds up. Lost symbol has the best final plot twist the bad guy revealing himself as the son but otherwise too close to national treasure. Inferno was my personal least favorite because population overload feels like the obvious opposite problem. Origin was kind of the opposite of Lost Symbol in that the story and Chase was entertaining but the twist was boring and predictable and let down that the machine just self destructs after all that. The way the tech for there AI is so here is also strange given the publications date really wasn't that long ago but long enough to be way Becks LLMs.
